Firm Foundations Realty, located in Carlinville has added a Land Specialist to their office.  Greg M. Campbell, husband of Owner/Broker, Brenda S. Campbell joined his wife’s firm in April of 2004.  He will specialize in farm sales and vacant ground but will still be available to show buildings and residential property, as well.

Greg grew up in the Northwestern area where he graduated.  He was a truck driver for his grandfather, Merle Campbell when he was 17 years old.  After he and Brenda were married, he worked on the family farm and ran a 300 head hog confinement building for many years along with his step father, Charles Frank.  When the hog confinement burnt to the ground leaving Campbell no choice but to go back to trucking, Greg purchased his own truck and began to run Greg Campbell Trucking, Inc.  At one time he and his wife had 8 leased trucks besides their own two that ran to the Texas valley to bring produce back to Illinois. Missing his family and not being able to be a part of his three son’s athletic events, Greg decided to haul local and began to haul grain for the area farmers. 

Brenda’s real estate career took off great from the start and they soon located ground in Carlinville that they developed into their own subdivision and called it Campbell’s Crossing.  Greg was greatly inspired by his Uncle Donald Crum.  Together they began to clear out timber, make the roads, lay water lines and envision what they wanted the area to look like to give it a quaint atmosphere of peace and tranquility.  In 2002 the Campbell’s moved to Carlinville in the home their son, Greg S. built on the entrance lot. It was then that Greg began to think he may as well get his real estate license too.

Greg has been a multi-township property tax assessor for 8 years.  This position gave him much knowledge about land and farms.  Greg believes that people get ‘taxed to death’ and wants to see relief brought to property owners in this area.  He has brought lots of justification to people in the townships he has assessed for.  He is willing to take the time to re assess property to get the current value so that reductions can be made.

‘With Greg’s experience and his kind nature he will be an asset to the office’, says Brenda. ‘ He can talk to anyone and loves to see people treated fair’.  ‘Growing up and learning life through hard knocks has made him want to see honesty and fairness in dealings that mean so much to people, of which we would all agree that selling or buying is an important investment decision', she adds.
